Bring down the Barriers - Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill (20 May) Following our campaign, Council organised for Shire-wide community engagement on possible future road safety improvements on both shire and state managed roads to prioritise works. Drop in sessions have been finalised and the online survey closed 11 April. We are awaiting the Shire's response. The campaign to remove and reduce the prominent road barriers and signage installed along Arthurs Seat Road, and traffic island, parking and pedestrian works in front of the United Service Station is being organised by RHCA and other representative community organisations. Community input invited on Shire's draft plans The Council Plan and Public Health and Wellbeing Plan are open for feedback from 21 May to 2 July 2025, with public exhibition of the Financial Plan and Asset Plan to follow at a later date. Feedback received during public exhibition will help finalise the plans before they are adopted by Council before 31 October 2025. The Shire is trying to balance rising costs, ageing infrastructure, and increasing responsibilities from other levels of government. At the same time, aware the community are feeling the impact of cost-of-living pressures. That’s why we’re focused on delivering the services that matter most while remaining financially sustainable.
